BFIAR Week 6 - Preschool Time

We're actually in the midst of Caps for Sale, and are going to be continuing it this I'll share that all with you next week! In the meantime, I wanted to share with you some other Preschool activities from last week.

We haven't gotten to use this tray much yet...but I am so excited about it! I was wanting a more compact sorting activity (we have larger colored bowls, but those take up a lot of space), so I bought this muffin tin from the dollar store and painted and sealed it. I've seen so many others make this sort of activity, and I'm looking forward to using it for our own sorting!

Sister Stinky's attention span wasn't quite ready for some of the other math activities we'd been trying, so I scaled things back last week and just did a simple counting puzzle. She loved it, and kept pretending to "teach" her sister about the numbers.

I've been holding off on talking with the alphabet with her until I saw signs of readiness...and she finally seemed ready! She's been asking about different letters a lot (and incorrectly identifying them), so I figured it was time that we officially learn them. She really enjoyed her first few sandpaper letters (I used our DIY ones), and I can't wait to show you next week how we're personalizing them. I'll give you a involves Star Wars (of course!).

Finally, we finished off the week with St. Valentine's Day...and some homemade chocolate play clay!

Linking up to Montessori Mondays. Hop on over there for loads more inspiration!

  1. You have such neat ideas. I'm going to try the sandpaper letters out.
