{phfr} - Sisters, Sisters

Linking up, as always, with the lovely Auntie Leila and daughters!

I grew up with a sister, a twin sister to be exact. She is still one of my best friends.

It's for that reason that these pictures make my heart feel so full!

Sometimes I try to imagine what their relationship will be like 2, 5, 10, or even 15 years from now. Whenever I do, I get so excited for them! Having a sister is just such a blessing. :-)

Sister Nugget had her 2 month check-up yesterday, and I was relieved when her doctor confirmed my suspicions. She has colic, just like her dear old mom did as a baby. Having a name to put to her crying spells makes them easier for me to manage!

God is so funny, though! I've been so afraid of having a baby with colic, and wondering how I could handle such a child. Finding out that that's the name of what I've been handling for the past two months - and handling fairly well!- without even knowing that I was already facing one of my fears as a parent? Classic. Well-played, God. Well-played.

In your charity, friends, please keep sweet Baby A in your prayers, again. He's having a rough time of it!

  1. Love the pictures! Love sibling relationships. I was never really close with my older brother and it's worse now. But the relationships I see forming with my children helps me know that this is how it's supposed to be.

Sorry for the colic but look at you handling it before you even knew!

  2. Oh my goodness, Sister Stinky is the spitting image of her daddy! Love it:) And Sister Nugget just keeps growing (and crying, haha), looking more like you all the time. Too cute!
