Requiece in Pacem

Oh, friends. My heart is so heavy today. I just received very sad news.

One of my friends from the home I worked at at Misericordia just passed away. She is the second friend I've had from there who has passed away in the past few years (the first was actually the woman that Sister Nugget is partially named after). Her name is Renee. She was such a beautiful soul, always asking about others. Like the other residents of the home that I spent most of my time in, she was confined to a wheelchair and couldn't walk or feed herself and could talk with difficulty. She loved going to Mass, talking with her friends, and keeping track of things in her "notebook" (one of her caretakers would jot down whatever little things Renee wanted to remember to ask her other caretakers). She was a good friend, always very concerned about her other friends. Sister Stinky actually got to meet her when she was very small (and the Abbot of course got to know and love her during the summer that I was working there while we were dating). She suffered so much in her life, but she often had a smile on her face and a kind word. She lived her life hidden away from the world...and now she is hidden away in Christ.

Please join me in praying for her and all those mourning her?

Eternal rest grant unto Renee, O Lord, and let the perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul, and all the souls of the faithful departed, through your mercy, O God, rest in peace. Amen.
