7 Posts in 7 Days Challenge - Day 1

Pictures taken during ECHO orientation, very early in my second trimester with Sister Stinky.

Nothing too profound to say today. Prodromal labor continues in spurts (although not as intense or timeable as Friday night) and my spirits have been kind of down today. It feels like our youngest daughter is never going to come out!

But God never gives you a cross you can't bear, does he? And through all the ups and downs of my pregnancies he has has given me the best form of support possible...the Abbot. I am so grateful for the Abbot, and since being pregnant with Sister Stinky have gained a very deep respect for single mothers. I truly don't know how they do it, and I must remember to pray for them more than I do.

So for now I'll focus on the gifts God has given to make this last stretch doable. At the moment it's the sound of my Stinky giggling in the other room as her Daddy plays with her. :-)

Speaking of the Abbot...I need to try to finish the story of how we met this week! The best is yet, so stay tuned!

  1. I can't wait for the rest of your love story! Also, I've said it before but you are super cute pregnant! I'll keep praying for you throughout your labor. Does prodromal labor at least make progress with dilation/station/effacing? While those don't necessarily mean anything either, it is nice to be as far along as possible! Wishing you the best!

  2. You're almost there! We had our little one on Thursday and it seems like it all happened in the blink of an eye! Praying that these last days are not too trying for you. Stay rested. Stay hydrated. I think God makes the end so challenging so that we are begging for labor...lol. God bless your sweet family.

  3. Hang in there you're almost done. Yes I often wonder how single mothers do it, thanks for the reminder to pray for them and offer up my daily struggles. Beautiful pictures.

  4. Those pics are a blast from the past and that top you're wearing is one of my favorites on you:)
