Yarn Along...I'm hooked!
I'm really beginning to enjoy crocheting! I've now figured out how to do increases and decreases (hence the balls above) and it makes it so much more fun when you can shape pieces instead of just crocheting squares. Sister Stinky has been loving these two little balls that I whipped up for her yesterday afternoon (as has the Abbot, who knows how to juggle). They are the first installment of a primary colors ball set. I've been pouring over different ideas for "tot school" as well as early Montessori lessons and I'm hoping to be able to offer Sister Stinky some actual Montessori materials/Montessori inspired materials at some point in the near future.
I'm sure you're also happy to see that the little Daddy doll from last week's yarn along finally has some pants! Sister Stinky and I both love this little family of Waldorf inspired dolls. My mother-in-law has dubbed them "neanderdolls" (a play on "neanderthals" because she saw them in an early stage of development when they all looked a bit like cavemen) and so they have brought her much delight, too. ;-)
And, of course, I'm still working my way through this book. I just don't want it to end!
By the way, I'm in the market for a good, inexpensive, compact laminator. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Linking up to Ginny's yarn along!
