Linking up with Like Mother, Like Daughter!
So now that he's safely home, I can admit that Andrew had to fly out for a few days for an work thing...and I'm so glad to have him back! It gave me a deeper appreciation for all of you who have to do without your husbands for longer stretches.
I don't think I've shared this with you before! This is the little icon we have hanging in our bathroom. In case you can't tell, it's Jesus washing the feet of the Apostles. I initially suggested hanging it here half-jokingly...but I'm so glad it's there. Little people need so much tending and are so slow moving in this room, that it's a good reminder of what I'm really supposed to be about.
So excessively maternal, this one is.
(She's sitting in the spot I vlogged from this week, but you'll notice the little stinker lost her vlogging privileges for the week...)
And Auntie Leila's suggestion to "blitz clean" the bathroom while the babies are in the tub? Genius!
I could tell Daddy had been reading this book with her, because instead of saying, "That's my monkey! His tummy is so fluffy..." she "read" it, "That's not my monkey! That's [an] orangutan!"
One of the days that Andrew was gone, Maria and I dropped Therese off at Catechesis of the Good Shepherd and were driving around...when we saw this. It was an invitation we couldn't refuse and gave me the grace I needed to get through the day. :-)
