See you at NCCL!!

Hi, friends!

Just popping in real quick to show you What We Wore Sunday... (or, actually, to the Saturday Vigil)...

WIWS!

Just a little selfie...but you get the picture! We were at Commencement Mass at Notre Dame, and I think the awesomeness of it was more than Sister Nugget could handle. So we paced and took a selfie. ;-)

(Oh, and a huge shout-out to a dear friend and fellow blogger who we ran into at Mass....so good to see you Mary Kate!!!)

And...if any of you happen to be at the NCCL (National Conference for Catechetical Leaders) in St. Louis this week...I hope to see you there! I'll be giving a presentation tomorrow afternoon.

(From the conference website):

Special Needs
208. Preparing those with Special Needs to Receive the Sacraments
by Michele Chronister
How are we to prepare those who are dealing with various developmental disabilities, Down syndrome, autism, ADHD, etc. to receive the Sacraments? How can we ensure a place for them in our parish communities and faith formation programs? This presentation will explore ways to provide access to the Sacraments for all the baptized.  Sponsored by Liguori.

Michele E. Chronister is the author of Handbook for Adaptive Catechesis, as well as a co-author of Faith Beginnings - Family Nurturing from Birth to Preschool. She studied theology at the University of Notre Dame (BA '09, MA '11) and participated in the ECHO program, where she developed "The Children of St. Angela Merici" program - a curriculum for students with special needs.

And guess what?? Liguori is sponsoring a book-signing afterwards, so stick around for a meet and greet if you're able!!! Just check out the Liguori booth at the vendor fair. I'll be there after the talk. :-)

Have a lovely rest of your Monday!

  1. I've really been enjoying reading your blog over the last several month--sorry I don't get to comment often. I wanted to let you know that I just started my own blog and was hoping you could check it out and give me some feedback. Thanks. www.veilsandvocations.blogspot.com
