{phfr}

I've been up for an hour in a quiet house...with two of my three stinkers sound asleep! (Incidentally, the only one who's been up with me is the in-utero one, and she's so quiet I don't mind a bit!) Sooo...time to link up with Auntie Leila and all her friends!

{pretty}

I love that curly little hair (especially knowing her type of curls will probably soon be outgrown). The Abbot and I both love to just sit and stroke her hair, because it is sooo soft. The days before a little girl's first haircut are precious, no? (Btw she didn't paint that "T"...but she likes it when we paint certain letters for her!)

{happy}

Sister Stinky and Baby Sister's share of the saint dolls I recently painted for an order I just filled for the shop. (Btw, Sister Stinky is up now, too, and she saw this picture and said, "All the families! Miss Piggy like all the families, too!" because, yes...this morning she is going by the name "Miss Piggy." She is constantly picking new personas for herself, the Abbot, and I and we MUST answer to these new names and only refer to each other by them. For instance, this morning I am supposed to call her Miss Piggy and I may only refer to the Abbot as "Walter," i.e. from the Muppet movie...and of course I'm Kermit. These are her favorite personas for us, but we have many others and we must be ready to take on our new roles at a moment's notice!)

{funny}

This may look to you like Sister Stinky in a laundry basket, but it is not. It's Miss Piggy wearing sunglasses at the beach on a sunny day.

{real}

And this is Miss Piggy dressed up like a princess. But she is NOT Princess Miss Piggy. Oh, no. In her own words, correcting the error of her mother, "Not Princess Miss Piggy! Just Miss Piggy!"

We've entered the world of toddler-initiated imagination, folks. I never know who'll I'll spend my day with...Elmo? Miss Piggy? Baby Dragon? Grandma Robot? (Those are just a few select favorites of hers...)

  1. John Paul and Cecilia do that too - we're all assigned various characters from whichever book, movie, or tv-show (or blog family...) they're currently obsessed with. Somehow Elizabeth is always the villain, though? And Cecilia throws SERIOUS temper tantrums when John Paul insists that she is NOT Goldilocks, she's just Cecilia. Ah, siblings :)
